“Visitors’ Notebook” consisted of leaving small notebooks for a few weeks in the five museums I’ve been working with in France and England. I asked the museum staff and visitors to pick an exhibit to draw in them and write down their impressions. Their doodles would then replace the actual objects, their comments the actual information, in a museum of their impressions and memories filled with imaginary visitors.
